If you are a coffee lover, you have probably searched the world over for that perfect coffee maker. Often times we find ourselves disappointed by a cheaply made coffee maker that we picked up at a garage sale. Simply because it burns the important liquid that we rely on so heavily in the morning.

I don’t know about you, but coffee has become almost a ritualistic morning, afternoon, and evening routine. If the coffee isn’t available, look out! A coffee drinker will let you know about their displeasure of not having that heavenly brew.

However, whether you have been drinking coffee for years or are a newcomer to this way of life. You still might have some questions about the many different kinds of coffee makers there are available. Where did it all start? As we all know, coffee makers are utilized to brew that heavenly drink coffee. All without having to boil the water first, then steep it by hand. While there are many different types for you to choose from, the most commonly used coffee maker is that which the coffee grounds are placed into a filter inside of the funnel. Which is set just over the coffee pot (either glass or ceramic pots will do). While the water used to steep the coffee is poured into a separate chamber, and heated to boiling. Often times directed to pour through the funnel. This style of coffee maker isn’t just a drip coffee maker, like so many so lovingly bestowed. It is called an automatic drip brewer. As you know, anything with the word automatic is especially enticing with our hectic lifestyle.

Another style of coffee maker is your standard percolator coffee maker. Of which is similar to a tea pot. You will place your filter in the upper compartment, and water below. As the water boils it steeps the coffee grounds above. While many people prefer this method of brewing for it’s taste, and ability to control it’s strength. It does tend to take much longer than your average automatic coffee maker would. This style of coffee maker which forces the boiling water up a thin tube into the upper portion of the coffee maker. Is considered to be a vacuum brewer. Of which was prized for it’s ability to produce a clear brew.

Of course you also have your specialty coffee makers. Of which will focus on making a strong blend espresso or even a cappuccino maker. Which are often times purchased by those who enjoy a strong pick-me-up in the mornings. Especially when taking your coffee black, just won’t do.
