In this article, we will take a brief look into where we came to use herbal tea, how it is made, and what the different popular types of herbal tea are.

The first tea known was that made of pearl barley. While they are commonly known, it isn’t the tea that was once so common throughout the world. Herbal tea is typically a blend of different plants. However, in some parts of the world this fusion of plants is strictly limited to nothing but the tea plant, Camellia sinensis. However, in the United States there is a plethora of different infusions that we have come to know and love.

Herbal teas are made by using either fresh or dried leaves, seeds, roots, or flowers. Normally steeping them in boiling water to allow them to release their flavor and nutrients into the tea itself.
